Insulation Replacement and Removal
Here’s a fact: Your basement or crawl space insulation may or may not be working. Over the years, your insulation becomes damaged by water vapor as well as rodent burrowing, feces, and urine.
You may or may not smell it, but visitors to your home most surely will. Removing and replacing your basement or crawl space insulation to a more modern foam insulation will get rid of any musty odors, give you an opportunity to save money on energy bills, and keep your home rodent-free.
Signs It’s Time to Replace Your Basement Insulation
A few of the most obvious signs that your insulation has been damaged by rodents and/or moisture include:
- Golf ball-sized holes
- Falling insulation or insulation that hangs down
- Dark urine spots or a slimy dark liquid that you’ll find on the floor or on the visible side of the ceiling
- Rat or mouse droppings imbedded in the insulation
- Musty odors from urine and water vapor
Envirocare Pest Control Has the Solution for Wet/Worn Basement Insulation
Over the years we’ve worked in hundreds of homes — our service program starts with a free inspection by a staff member who is experienced in this type of work and knows what it will take to get your basement back in shape.
We also don’t use typical fiberglass insulation — we’ll upgrade your home to a higher R-value with foam insulation. It looks better, stands up to moisture and won’t trap in odors.
